The best price change predictor of August is... @LiveFPLnet ! Winning both the rises and falls category. Rise predictions have been especially good thus far!

LiveFPL adjusted their algorithm to catch more falls — but at the expense of 9 false positives. FantasyFootballHub not off to a great start so far.
Looks like we're in for another rough season of price changes... Basically all price change predictor websites got blindsided by last night's price changes, only @FantasyFootyFix got some of the falls correct.
New season, new price changes! With the first price changes behind us, it seems all remaining price change predictors (RIP FPLstatistics) are off to a great start. If you want to track which website is doing best, check out my website whatthef.pl which updates daily.
And here's who the best MIDFIELDERS to pick are if you take into account Defensive Contributions, by looking at POINTS PER GAME. Takeaways: - Diallo?? - Anderson still a great shout at 5.5 - McNeil might be a decent shout if he starts frequently. - Bruno a beast in DC (11x)
UPDATE — here's who are the best defenders to pick in FPL if you take into account Defensive Contributions, by looking at POINTS PER GAME. Takeaways: - Tarkowski in the Top 3 - Chalobah best in 5.0 category, though mainly due to his time at Palace - Gabriel next to Virg/Gvardiol
Next up — Non-premium Midfielders. Below graph shows total points each player would have gotten last season INCLUDING DC, compared to their price this season. Main takeaway: some really interesting budget options: - At 5.0: Baleba/Cook/Christie - At 5.5: Anderson/Caicedo
My main take-aways from this: 💰 Premium defenders might not be worth it, bar Virg/Gvardiol 🦅 Crystal Palace are underpriced (Guehi, Lacroix, Munoz), especially considering their improved form in late-season ⚒️ Wan-Bissaka could be great value if West Ham turn out decent

Here's how Defensive Contributions (DC) impacts defenders. Below graph shows total points each defender would have gotten last season INCLUDING DC, compared to their price this season.
Had a quick look at Defensive Contributions and it turns out, out of all the players categorized as FWD this season... Bowen is the only one who got Defensive Contribution points last season (3 times). All other FWDs didn't manage even once.
The best FPL price change predictor of the SEASON is... 🥇@fpl_statistics — Best for falls, 2nd for rises! 🥈 @LiveFPLnet — amazing start to the season, but accuracy dropped off the last months 🥉 @FFH_HQ — the most improved. Rough start but among the best in the last months.
NEW on whatthef.pl: Performance over time! I added graphs to the home page, to show the performance of the predictors throughout the season. This way you can see if the quality of a predictor is trending in a certain direction. Any comments/feedback, let me know!
The best price change predictor of this week is... @fpl_statistics (for rises) and @FFH_HQ (for falls) This is in line with recent trends: 🔹FPLstats is on top of the monthly leaderboard for rises 🔹FFHub is on top of the weekly leaderboard for falls for the 2nd week in a row

The best price change predictor of February is... @LiveFPLnet and @fpl_statistics with one 1st and 2nd place each. Performance is still way down from December and January. Let's see if the predictors can pick it back up in March.
The best price change predictor of Week 8, 2025 is... For the 2nd week in a row: @LiveFPLnet / @fpl_statistics with one 1st and 2nd place each. Performance is still mediocre at best, though since the last deadline there seem to have been some recovery (mabye).
The best price change predictor of Week 7 is... @LiveFPLnet / @fpl_statistics with one 1st and 2nd place each. Performance is still well below what it was in December + early January. I do expect accuracy to increase again once there's a more regular weekly schedule again.
