One time only FSD transfer is back again 😂 Just make it permanent. $8,000 FSD that includes unlimited transfers. $4,000 FSD supervised FSD license with no transfer

Tesla is leaving money on the table. People will pay a few thousand dollars upfront, but $8k is still a lot. Most will choose to subscribe. Buying up front was supposed to be the more attractive option
@WholeMarsBlog If/When Elon does away with purchasing FSD outright, at what price would you pay for that last opportunity to get FSD without a monthly subscription fee?
@WholeMarsBlog great idea. Really wish this was a permenant option.
@WholeMarsBlog Yes, FSD should be a licence. you buy the licence, you apply that licence to whatever Tesla you own. when you sell, the licence stays with you. and whoever buys your old car, then has to buy their own licence.
@WholeMarsBlog this works. people like me get fooled. I bought my model 3 last quarter because FSD transfer was the LAST time ever.....joke is on me.
@WholeMarsBlog Better yet license it per person. Sell it to me, my wife, and both of my boys. Then any Tesla they ever use will have FSD.
@WholeMarsBlog FSD should be linked to the account instead of the vehicle, allowing it to transfer to a new Tesla for a 25% transfer fee based on the current FSD price at each upgrade (transfer fee today would be $2k)
@WholeMarsBlog the only reason im not getting the lifetime purchase of fsd is bc of future need to transfer it. if im paying $8K i dont want to ever have to pay that again.
@WholeMarsBlog I really hope HW3 can achieve full autonomy but if it cannot, they should offer all HW3 owners free FSD supervised.
@WholeMarsBlog FSD supervised will be free. It already effectively is for new 3/Y purchasers who finance.
@WholeMarsBlog I’ve been in favor of this tiered pricing approach since I got my Y in 2022. If the Y refresh gets the laser light bar from the Cybercab, that is going to be absolutely 🔥
@WholeMarsBlog I paid five figures for FSD, I’m delighted with its progress, but when I trade my Y for a nice juniper around the end of 25, it had darn well better transfer over
@WholeMarsBlog One time transfer makes sense. But if you believe they achiev autonomy, how does unlimited transfers of an 8k sw license make sense?
@WholeMarsBlog But the transfer doesn’t let you secure the 0% interest. Bummer
@WholeMarsBlog Permanent for HW3 to phase out FSD on HW3
@WholeMarsBlog Just make FSD a 10-year transferrable license that costs $8280. Everyone will be willing to break out that montky cost of $69! 😂
@WholeMarsBlog I personally think buying in full every other time would be a good loyalty program. Essentially makes it half price.
@WholeMarsBlog Like that plan. Perhaps the new name : 1. Lifetime User FSD license. 2. Vehicle FSD license.
@WholeMarsBlog If only I could also transfer my lifetime free supercharging (we’re a dying breed who own this)
@WholeMarsBlog If I use the FSD transfer option, can I still get the 0% APR incentive that requires FSD?
@WholeMarsBlog Where did you see unlimited transferred with 8k and no transferred with 4k?
@WholeMarsBlog big catch would be -Trade in offer is very low compared to market rate.
@WholeMarsBlog They absolutely need to just make it permanent until autonomy is fully solved and original buyers going back to 2016 are allowed ample time to upgrade when they are ready
@WholeMarsBlog Love this! Will encourage buyers to upgrade.
@WholeMarsBlog I think it would be fair recompense, especially for those of us outside North America who paid thousands of dollars many years ago with no FSD in sight.
@WholeMarsBlog Will there ever be a time that the price of the car includes FSD and there’s no need for an extra payment or subscription?
@WholeMarsBlog Great idea, The “one time” is why I just bought my new car. Plus the 0%…
@WholeMarsBlog Would be nice if Tesla grandfathered unlimited transfers to early adopters and beta testers. I bought FSD back in 2019 for $6k. With inflation that’s $9k today
