We should celebrate people who create billions of dollars of value for our country. Instead we treat them like they stole it.
Part of the issue is that many people think there’s a fixed amount of value that has to be divided. But that’s not true — value can be created or destroyed. I can take $10,000 worth of wood and create a house that someone might pay $100,000 to live in. My labor turned something worth $10,000 into something worth $100,000, creating $90,000 of value that didn’t exist in our society before. I can also take that $100,000 structure and maintain it so poorly that it ends uo being worth only $50,000. Or with some renovations maybe it could he worth $200,000
@WholeMarsBlog They OK with hundreds of billions of free taxpayer handouts to NGOs but upset when billionaires make it by working.
@WholeMarsBlog According to Grok, the roughly 115,000 employees in the US working for companies that Elon created paid an estimated $2.4B in federal taxes. How come they never mention that when they attack billionaires?
@WholeMarsBlog Dollars aren’t valuable in themselves, they just represent power to allocate resources. When that power is distributed, not centralised, everyday people have more say in how society uses its resources
@WholeMarsBlog @NickGibbsIAG Our government could take all money from billionaires, and it would be wasted (lost), and they would be running trillion dollar deficits the next year.
@WholeMarsBlog When you start a company and you keep enough ownership to maintain control, you go public to raise money and build products or provide services that make millions of people’s lives better and the company’s market cap grows into the billions you get Billionaires and that’s good!
@WholeMarsBlog 2) Wait.... that is what Musk has been doing for the last 6 or 7 years....working for nothing!
I agree. There has been a prevailing perception in America that… in order to be rich, you must be crooked. Real cases like Enron, Madoff, or even recent crypto scams help cement the perception despite the fact that plenty of wealth comes from legit innovation—like Apple, Amazon, SpaceX, Tesla or even smaller-scale entrepreneurs. 🇺🇸💛
@WholeMarsBlog sometimes they did steal it sometimes they put in work it depends
@WholeMarsBlog Envy is the core of the democrats politics. Because you can’t make it, you also don’t want others to have it and seize it by force.
@WholeMarsBlog The ones who say billionaires shouldn’t exist have never worked to create billions in value.
@WholeMarsBlog Communist playbook has gained traction here! The narrative is they stole the billions, so you are entitled to rob the billionaires. What’s happening in America?
@WholeMarsBlog And the lion does not concern himself with the opinions of the sheep.
@WholeMarsBlog It’s wild how jealous so many people are of successful people….. they are always the ones who’ve contributed very little to society.
One problem in our current system is that 'billionaires' were forced to shut the hell up about what they thought because everyone saw them as entitled assholes because they were jealous. This dehumanized the rich (very similar to how the poor are also dehumanized).. both are bad. Let's talk about what value people bring to the table and not let jealousy or envy prevent progress.
@WholeMarsBlog People with little esteem are always jealous of someone that has more money then they do, so much so that they feel the need to vilify them so they can feel better about themselves.
@WholeMarsBlog Nah. It’s just the anti freedom goobers that do that.
@WholeMarsBlog I think Tesla and SpaceX are great. I do not think Elon's support of MAGA and Trump was great though.
@WholeMarsBlog Most, like Elon, are immigrants that came the US, worked hard, and got really successful. It’s like they started off as royalty…
@WholeMarsBlog yeah, this discourse also kills people’s agency, they believe the reason they are in their situation is because of billionaires, instead of working hard to change where they are, they just aimlessly complain
@WholeMarsBlog We should be celebrating great minds and not great wealth brother :) Hence the downfall of humanity. We collectively forgot how to celebrate the greatest minds and got side tracked by everything else 🫤
@WholeMarsBlog Everyone voting for no billionaires should surrender and forgo anything created by billionaires, starting with their phones, chatgpt, Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, x and all the rest
@WholeMarsBlog Meanwhile they fough tooth and nail to make anything at all to start with.
@WholeMarsBlog Yup! It's starting to sound a lot like Canada and especially Quebec Where if you have succeeded you most definitely are a criminal ! 🤦🤦🤦
@WholeMarsBlog Yes, hard work is admirable and praiseworthy, in an all but noticeably broken system. Nothing nothing changes the respect and admiration and give back true patriots whose sacrificed their lives to provide the opportunity to a free entrepreneurial market.
@WholeMarsBlog Drat those naughty billionaires:-)
