There is something wrong in Ireland, we pay public officials, who are often mediocre at their jobs, far more than their counterparts in other countries!

I may be totally wrong & I know there is a real current issue with health service capacity but ultimately the greatest obstacle to getting past COVID may be the sort of Stockholm Syndrome whereby some people cannot contemplate/are scared of a return to a life without restrictions

What if Covid is unavoidable (just like flu), literally everyone will get it at some point (just like flu) and all these measures 2 years now just delay imunity, prolonging our calamity and destroying economy, society and mental health unnecessarily?

@Michael54325847 How have they suddenly been able to attribute 27% of new infections to omicron when they have said all along pcr testing doesn't identify the variant. Are they seriously saying they have sent every test taken in the last few days to lab for identification.

I’ve carefully read Pope Francis’s words regarding the EU spoken during his most recent interview. He talks about it taking the wrong direction, one not in line with the vision of so many of its founders. Brussels latest musings on dropping the word ‘Christmas’ being his example.
