When people ask, "are you any better?", they don't usually want a conversation about where you are and how bad it is..... They want a yes thanks, a bit, improving slowly, kind of response. Reactions to, "no, not really". Can be met with total disbelief ☹️

I have new found empathy for people with invisible long term illnesses. Looking out from within an illness is completely different to being on the outside looking in. If you haven't had the experience it's so difficult to make your illness understandable to others.

In the depths of Long COVID I didn't know whether I would ever be able to recover; Or if there would be lasting damage as a result of being ill for so long. That is very isolating and worrying... Even with brilliant support from my family I've never felt as alone

Confucius said, "if language is not correct, then what is said is not meant; If what is said is not what is meant, Then what ought to be done remains undone". I think this applies specifically to language we use to describe symptoms. Exhaustion and brain fog = very misleading

@jaxx681 I innerstand this frustration as someone that deals with reactive airway. During the convid, I grew my own mullein and smoked it. And discovered serapeptase which naturally reduced inflammation and safe enough to take regularly. Here’s a bit of info.
