No matter what field you are in, successful resumes are sales-focused: ✓ Sell benefits instead of features. ✓ Use action/active verbiage. ✓ Emphasize quantified or proven successes, contributions and achievements.

Is your resume: 1 - Uncomplicated: Is your job target clear? 2- Relevant: Is only information relevant to the job target included, rather than your entire job history? 3 - Easy to understand: Does it have enough white space, or is it content-dense using a small font?

Thinking about using AI to write your resume? You might want to reconsider. Per Forbes, a recent survey conducted by CV Genuis found that 80% of hiring managers hated AI-generated applications.

Is your resume wordy? Remove unnecessary qualifiers such as "very" in phrases such as "worked under the guidance of very experienced development professionals." Common qualifiers to eliminate include: actually, really, basically, probably, definitely, somewhat and extremely.

Is your resume wordy? Check for redundancies. For example: BEFORE: For each and every pizza you purchase, you will receive a free garlic sauce. AFTER: For every pizza you purchase, you will receive a free garlic sauce. "Each" and "every" are redundant.
