I've found having a "final goal" at cons prevents PCD for me. Once that goal is accomplished, it's finalized, and it makes packing up and leaving easier.

I wish I felt like I belonged, and I know I do belong, I have some real heckin good friendos, but my brain always paints it as a toleration, I never feel as though I'm worthy. I feel I'm damaged from past experiences, and I don't yet know how to overcome that. But, I will. ^w^

There was a time years ago where I did seek outside validation, and all it did was lead me down a lonely path. In that journey, I realized that true validation comes from exploring and accepting oneself, and personal accomplishment. I now recognize I'll be okay, no matter what.
