This exact feeling. The pandemic has meant that our 1 year old's grandparents have essentially missed her entire babyhood. They will have almost no memories of her as a baby. I can't stop crying.

Along with that, Banneker was at the time in frequent contact with Thomas Jefferson where he discussed with him slavery and racial equality. He was one of the pioneers of his time and is considered to be one of the first important Black intellectuals. (4/10)

Benjamin Banneker was an astronomer who was widely known for his astronomical almanacs in which he used calculations to predict events like solar eclipses, planetary conjunctions, and much more. He had no formal education and self-taught himself all the math and science. (3/10)
