Ngl SG2 could prob get away with portal based matchmaking (placing players in different brackets based on their average distance portaled/ average portals placed). Both groups would rather play with similar players so this solution facilitates that without needing separate queues

"A game for everybody a game for nobdy" That being said, the portal system can be a lot healthier by bringing back SG1 portal blocking. The current system puts players at a massive disadvantage on the defense end of movement based engagements.

This is objectively the best thing that 1047 can do right now. So many different issues need to be addressed that keeping it out as a final product is not sustainable. I have faith that if the studio works with the community that the game will be in a great spot by next year.
