I have some unfortunate news today. Pixie crossed the rainbow bridge last night. It's a painful thing to lose someone so full of life as you were. You may not have had a long life, but everyday you were around brightened mine. I love you, Pixie. You will be dearly missed. 🐾

Whew! Spent the last week at a work seminar clear across the state (pardon my absence). I've never driven that far before, so it was quite a change of pace. It was pretty neat passing through the mountains.

I feel bad that I haven't been active here lately; hope you all can forgive me. I'll try to drop in a little more frequently if I can and especially once the new FOTNS airs. In the meantime, does anyone know of a alternative to this site? I've never been truly pleased with it.

It took all these years, but I finally got the chance to witness a solar eclipse. Wouldn't it be just my luck that the sky goes overcast only during peak totality? 😅Oh, well. What I did manage to see was cool, though. Hope everyone enjoyed it! #EclipseSolar2024

Chicken update: as I figured would eventually happen, the two roosters finally got hostile with each other. I ended up giving one to a relative. I really hoped it wouldn't come to this but that's chickens for you. Good thing there were only two males in this clutch.

Two of my button quail escaped while I was moving them to their winter housing. It looks like I'm down to my last pair. I'm really thankful the chickens haven't given me this much trouble...yet.

You know what I just realized? With the new Hokuto no Ken series in the works, we may very well get to see scenes like this in all their high-resolution, gory glory. Happy Halloween, indeed.
