Despite purposely searching for & replying to much stuff other than Cal v nonCal, and even purposely avoiding many tweets that I'd otherwise love to reply to, my feed is still 99% cal v nonCal on stuff, esp soteriology. May just have to make a whole new account. 😏

Agreed. Soteriology is not stuff about atonement, original sin, ordo salutis, etc which you take a position on. It is the Christian life played out, ie, it is God's dealings with us. We know, or rather, are known by Him.

We agree. The light of nature and the works of creation & providence leave us unexcusable and are not sufficient to give us knowledge which is necessary unto salvation. That's because there is no knowledge which is necessary unto salvation. God is necessary unto salvation.

Going to my volunteer session with a group of adults with special needs. They will each act in very unique ways, many of those ways which many would normally see as sinful. Oooooh how I am thankful for an all loving God who meets us where we are and sanctifies me to love 😄

I assume either a) not being Christian doesn't automatically mean "unsaved", and/or b) baptism isn't limited to any specific ritual. Otherwise we'd have God condemning some people through no fault of their own. God is just and loving and wouldn't do that.

I'm thinking that EO means something rather different by "grace" than WT (Western Traditions) means by it. We are ontologically made in His image, to be conformed to Jesus' image, to fully become His image. To be full of grace.

God saves dying infants from the same thing He saves all humans from: this evil world, Satan&demons, the sin of the world, death, etc. I don't see why infants are a special case. Infants are with the same God as us: the God who is just and loving, who loves His creation.

The important part: ❝I feel that every mainstream soteriology doctrine falls short, as a creature can not fully understand our Creator and how He thinks and Works. However, someone's soteriology is not a measurement of someone's salvation through the grace of God.❞ Amen!!!!!

As for Islam's god and Christian's god: The One, True God can be and in fact is misunderstood by everyone. Yet He still loves us 🙂 He is so awesome that way.
