Just bought two Dell Precision T5500s and four X5675. That 48 additional threads lads! Aging, sure but they only exist to crunch lighting and each has 32GB of ram. For less than $500 I've saved so many hours of waiting going forward. #UE4 #gamedev #UnrealEngine #unrealdev

For those that care, update on lightmass machine build. I was going to use the X79 platform since Sandy/Ivy has been #Intel best leap. After running a $800 bill I looked at what two X58 builds could do. For less money I can still get 48 threads. #indiedev #UnrealEngine #UE4

Looking at a 24 core build for light-mass builds and everything the laptop can't deal with. Overkill? That's the point. Doing the math I can effectively build lightning 3 times faster on every lighting quality setting. Stoked! #gamedev #indiedev #VR #UE4 #UnrealEngine #Intel

Now rocking a full #Intel i7 8700 in a laptop format thanks to Clevo and @Eluktronics Real good stuff! Had to bios mod for 8th generation support but this with a GTX 1060 will provide a good dev/test system for sure. #gamedev #nvidia #VR #indiedev
