For those begging for rate cuts, look back at 2001 and 2008. The Fed started cutting right before unemployment spiked. The pivot wasn’t a win, it was the signal that the real damage was about to hit. If the economy was healthy and booming, there would be no need to cut rates.

Long-duration bear markets are better. This gives the investor more time to take advantage of more opportunities. The COVID downturn was nice but only lasted a month which is why many investors, including Warren Buffett, were unable to capitalize effectively.

We just saw the largest monthly jump in new housing supply since the late 1980s. This isn’t b/c of tariffs - it’s b/c the boomers were waiting until rate cuts to sell b/c they thought they could get more money (aka pent up supply). Gonna be a full blown buyer’s market soon.
