Our phylogenetic analysis places Palaeocampa among the Aysheaiids (the classic Burgess Shale animal Aysheaia being its namesake), a group of poorly known lobopodians known from the Cambrian and Ordovician. Palaeocampa is the only known aysheaiid to possess a sclerite armature.

Palaeocampa anthrax, a fossil worm first described from Carboniferous rocks in 1865 as a caterpillar, is redescribed as a freshwater aysheaiid lobopodian with a unique sclerite armature and probable chemical defences, according to a paper in @CommsBio. go.nature.com/3TSRrbP

Using some paper of early Chaetognatha and other data, I made a simple figure to describe their affinities. The upper part is referred to the latest phylogenetic analysis by Vinther J, et al., and the part of the crown group is from the website Onezoom.

@DPadenAkaterry @DivinelyDesined There's lots of cnidarians and ancestors to cnidarians in the precambrian. Cnidarians are like jelly fish, corals, stuff like that. Some examples include autotalumina, haootia, ichnusa, mamsetia, persimedusites, staurinidia, vendoconularia, veprina, and zolotytsia. (2/?)

Mosura fentoni, a new Burgess Shale radiodont named after the kaiju Mothra. This hurdiid had a specialized abdominal region of the trunk dedicated mostly to respiration, rather than swimming.
