Happy National Read Across America Day! FVE had a great time celebrating!
There was a lot of joy at FVE today! Celebrating students who are “Out of This World” was a great way to start our second semester. Way to go, Dolphins!
Lauren Murray from Friendship Valley ES collaborated with the Hispanic and International Liaison from our CCPS International Office to host a technology information event. International parents received hands-on instruction on the Home Access Center and learned about the school.

Today, Gov Hogan proposed $345 million in cuts to public school funding. Educators have stepped up to do all we could for our students & we’re worried about how to hold a safe and successful next school year. Meanwhile Hogan wants to slash school funding by $345 million. 1/11

As we consider reopening schools and businesses have we considered where our younger children will be cared for while we work? Many daycare centers have closed. I’m not able to get @Hill_YMD to respond about their opening on 6/22 even though we have been charged. #parentstress
This time has often been very overwhelming as I try to balance teaching my two young boys while dealing with a full-time workload filled with daily change and uncertainty, but hiking, painting, running, and gardening with my guys has been an outlet and a gift.
