Now these slaves usually consisted of captives of war and conquest, criminals, or impoverished persons who couldn’t afford to live. However, these were still Black people being traded off by other Black people in positions of power who initially established the slave system

Slavery already existed in the Motherland before Europeans even crossed overseas. Those African slave merchants sold other African slaves overseas in exchange for resources, goods or even other slaves that were the same color as them..🤷🏽‍♂️ #IfSlaveryWereAChoice
