I see many people raving about vLLM, and but Ion Stoica et al recently published Autellix and it shows 4-15x throughout at the same latency compared to vLLM. Why should you care? Stoica is the same behind Databricks, Ray and others. Watch this space.

I see a lot of let’s replace x with rust. when you’re doing concurrent code, those atomics pay dividends. But when I wanted to take a pointer to memory, such as when doing a slotted memory storage, that rust compiler fights back. Choose your tool wisely, it’s hard to change later
