I think people need to change the narrative of how they frame it. Instead of “if she wore the hijab” it should be the acknowledgement that “even when wearing the hijab, some women experience this, but InshaAllah less than without”.

It’s a similar argument to “if she wore hijab, she wouldn’t be catcalled”. That’s not true- as someone who wears the hijab, wears abaya, etc- I get catcalled even in Muslim countries. Stop blaming us.
And it’s not that I believe it’s men vs women, but I do believe that women are given the responsibility of hiding more than men are expected to control themselves, and that’s such a messed up narrative to me.

I’m sorry but “women don’t post your pics online” is such a frustrating take to me. Like sure maybe we shouldn’t - but we also shouldn’t expect those who see them to do in appropriate things with them.
