We started this week asking Dosbarth Barcud what makes Wales special to them. Some children suggested the Welsh flag and wanted to try their hand at line drawings of the Welsh dragon. We loved the results. Now to learn the story of how the dragon came to be on the flag
Transferring the skills we developed during our @AdobeForEdu Remembrance Day lesson to lessons across the curriculum today as some Year 6 pupils decided to represent their learning about the causes of climate a change on @creativecloud
What is the cost of coal? Some of Dosbarth Barcud chose to represent the impact of burning fossil fuels using the skills developed in their Expressive Arts lessons. Their artwork and explanation of the human impact upon planet earth was amazing! #ethicalinformed
Today we were learning about the environmental impact of burning fossil fuels. Year 6 chose how they wanted to represent their understanding- from models, to artwork, using their digital skills and more- we had some wonderful examples and excellent explanations #pupilvoice

Dosbarth Barcud’s last inquiry question was ‘Can you steal a mountain?’. They held an official enquiry into the Great Penrhyn Quarry Strike with the strikers, ‘traitors’ and Lord Penrhyn all having to make their case. Who do you think won? #welshhistory #cfw
More work on our inquiry into the true cost of coal. How is burning fossil fuels affecting our environment? Our topic is #Goal9 from the sustainable development goals- industry, innovation and infrastructure. Can we make industry more sustainable before it’s too late?
