More drug from “rich” politician to get renetrs’ vote. They know that the best way to build intergenerational wealth is home ownership but their interest has priority. Highest paid mayor in USA at $446,000/year can afford to own a home! sfstandard.com/2024/10/15/ren…
Rent Control is a subtle drug that politicians give to tenants. Like any drug, the more you use it, the more you depend on it. They know that intergenerational wealth is built via home ownership. If they had your best interest in mind that is what they should offer you!
62% increase over 6 years. 10%/year. In the meantime the SF rent ordinance will allow an estimated rent increase of 1-2%/year. BTW a base rate of $63 is a base salary of $131,040/year. And then they talk about “home cost” inflation pressure!
