Shaft from JLCPCB just arrived!!! Been printing the parts just to test fitment. All that's left is to finish the combustion chamber and liner. I've also managed to bump up the thrust to around 45N and dropped the RPM to just above 100,000RPM. Going to get it manufactured soon!

crazy how much ptsd there is in EE/hardware. i'm getting recs to add footprints for parts that don't exist in the project, putting unpopulated 0Rs all over the place "just in case". like naw dawg, i'll just make another board if things change that much.

hey new followers, i'm a swe by trade and last year I KNEW LITTLE TO NOTHING ABOUT HARDWARE. i'd done a couple arduino projects and modeled some cups and hooks in cad. you don't have to be an expert. i'm not. stop wanting to build something. just go build something dammit lmao

Day 5: Building a brushed DC servo motor controller. I've been refining the schematic more. I added a better reset circuit and ESD protection on the CAN bus (thanks @akohlsmith). Also some decoupling caps. I've ordered some dev boards to test this on breadboard tool.

i didn't know about cubemx, but it's great for working through all the quirks and conflicts that come up when choosing and configuring pins. thanks @_joel_a_
the STM32F*C8* has one PWM timer TIM1 and i just found out that you need to be careful where you hook up the thing that you want to control with that. in this case PA8/PB13 for the complementary outputs.
