I may agree with you. But I’ll defend another’s right to disagree with you. We may disagree on that. And I’ll defend your right to disagree with me on that. That’s how that works. Our ability to have a civil conversation about our differences is how we grow. If not, we regress.

Two sides, both emphatically believing they are right, can’t see past their own bias and hatred long enough to look inward at the hypocrisy in their own behaviors. The end doesn’t justify the means. Treat others as you wish to be treated. It is, and always has been, that simple.
