Anyone seen any benchmarks of common UI workflows like webpack builds and yarn installs running on the new M1 Macs? Is it even supported natively? Really curious if the advertised benefits for other pro workflows applies to UI devs!

Career Update: After an eventful and exciting 6+ years at @Flipkart, I'm moving to @harnessio to work on a next-gen frontend for their continuous-delivery platform. Who says enterprise products can't have consumer-grade UI? :)

URLs are a great concept and definitely one of the crucial pillars of the open web. But their implementation leaves a lot to be desired imo. Eg. Why is string parsing the only way to read it? Android intents/actions seems like a better/controlled impl of a similar concept.

With worker support landing in Node, will it be better for a server to spawn worker threads (from a pool) for each request instead of running multiple node processes on one machine via pm2/cluster?

How is that Safari has ES modules support but no Intersection Observer support. :-/ ES Modules are awesome though! Just tried them, and they work beautifully across Node and the browser!

Do NOT miss the masterpiece of a movie, Bohemian Rhapsody. What an experience! Amazing acting by all, especially Rami Malek. Great camera work, and a mind-blowing auditory experience in the theatre!

Is there a way for #webpack4 to generate chunks for dynamic imports, but not download them automatically? webpackMode "weak" seems to be close, but it's not generating chunks in the first place. webpack.js.org/api/module-met… cc @TheLarkInn

If you have secure cookies from a domain, Chrome will not allow insecure cookie of same name to override it, which is 👌 for security. Neither does it get passed to server! But also doesn't show the cookie as already set. Caused a lot of hair pulling today.

Seeing really long whiskers on lazy-loaded images. This is causing images to not render for upto 3 seconds even though they were downloaded in few ms. Main-thread looks empty, network is also idle. Both mobile and desktop. Chrome only. Any ideas? /cc @paul_irish @slightlylate
