"Acceptable reason to be absent" is such a toxic rabbit hole. Who decides what is 'acceptable'? How do we treat unpaid workers as professionals when they don't even get leaves/benefits they can use for personal matter? Ateneo, do better. Where is the cura personalis here??

memo has put it, would not be vilified as they are here in medicine. Even students in university are given maximum allowable absences, be it excused or unexcused, in recognition of the many aspects of life beyond studies / preparation to be future cogs in the labor machine.
