What else would you do on a damp, misty day? The dream team collecting (very heavy 💪) heather bales for post-digger restoration work 😁
Have you ever wondered what lies beneath the peat 😱? This site has a large number of peat pipes, which are often associated with damaged peatland. We will be trialling ways to reduce the flow of water 💦entering these pipes, protecting our peatlands from further damage😁
So excited to have our #diggers back on site 😁 We have plenty of hags to reprofile, so let's hope the weather holds 🤞
We took a break from manual labour to get some drone shots of our restoration work, thanks to @KingfisherIOM 😀 It's a great way of seeing what we have done, and how much we still have to do (lots!) 🫣
We're on the map! Even though the #IsleOfMan is not part of the UK, it's great to have our project included in a map of peat partnerships 😁 This was a discussion around peatland strategy across the UK (and IoM😉)
