I believe same-day-uninstalls have a substantial impact on Shopify app rankings. I moved the pricing to a usage-based model for one of our apps. The same day uninstalls increased and the rankings tanked. Switching back to the old plan with monthly subscription only, resulted in lowering the same day uninstall rate and the ranking recovered. This was a preliminary analysis. I need to gather more data on this to be certain. While usage based pricing didn’t work for this app, it might work for a different category.
@_arpitroy very insightful that you're sharing this here. we did a bit of a deep dive into this subject about a month ago and came to the conclusion that a combination of subs & usage pricing is the best. rarely one sees a positive outcome when switching completely.
