Option sellers are willing to pay high slippages on a single trade. But the thought of giving a fraction of theta by going long vega, for an unlimited profit potential, in way less capital & they will lose their mind. Certainty & comfort of theta decay makes us do wierd things.

You make the most money in the markets when you're not attached to it. Most people think you have to become a saint to do this. But it takes practice, to see the PnL/mtm swings just as a number and not in monetary terms. Starting small and gradually scaling up is the only way.
