we can easily have a convo about how black people need to love their black features. but we can't have that convo without talking about how awful people are when it comes to black bodies. i remember how mfs was talking about glo's nose at first.
@_benjvmins_ This! I saw one girl make a nasty post saying “it was never your nose it was your eyes” like can we stop please 😩
@_benjvmins_ girl they still are, the alleged nose job post had a quote tweet that went viral and someone in the comments said “ God i hate the features on her face” we all know what that meant
@_benjvmins_ because the way people talk abt glorilla, serena williams, or michelle obama is actually mind boggling
@_benjvmins_ And now they wanna be confused now that she used her money to change it 😑
@_benjvmins_ like ppl wanna judge ppl instead of addressing the root of the problem
@_benjvmins_ Girl it’s like we mind linking because I’m sick of the criticism of our bodies and the mass amount of assumptions made about surgical procedures without any factual evidence
@_benjvmins_ I honestly thought after she made that post about loving her nose and eyes that the chatter died down but it got to her it seems😕
@_benjvmins_ Can we have a conversation about autonomy? And how we don’t owe the collective esteem? And if we don’t like something about ourselves it doesn’t need to be a community conversation?
@_benjvmins_ Exactly then when she get it touched they still talking shit
@_benjvmins_ I agree we gotta love ourselves and stop projecting self hate.
