Splice's desktop client is like a case study in awful UI design. No ability to view samples by pack, no ability to click a "Select All" checkbox when downloading, no progress bar or any indication when trying to sync the entire library. Just unpleasant all around.

You know what feels REALLY good? The moment after you set up your auto-reply in Outlook & you go back to Teams & see the green checkmark icon & it isn't filled in & you mouse over it & it says "Available, Out Of Office" All is right in the world, if only for a fleeting moment.

20 years ago, people would have imaginary conversations and talk shit into a mirror a la Taxi Driver. It was a personal, private activity. Today, mfers have TikTok and I'm split on whether to cringe about it or to be happy for the entertainment at their expense.
