Your game's price tag is the entry fee to enjoy your game. Lots of people won't ever pay it. Microtransactions are a way for players to celebrate what you've made. Make something worth celebrating.

Game monetization idea: Subscription but for played time. Removes the fomo of not playing, waffling about renewing, etc. If you have to, have it expire at some point in the future, like 3 months out or something.

Tons of MMOs use a "tradeable subscription" model. It lets players buy their sub via in-game currency from another player. Helps circumvent RWT as well as gives F2P players a viable path to get a sub. Which is still revenue for the MMO.

I have a top 2-3 things that MUST get done each day. Once I get those things done, I can do whatever else. Helps make incremental progress every day. Otherwise I get to the end of the week and have nothing to show, even though I "worked" all week.
