@_centrists_ At this point, I'm putting my active engagement on Twitter on hold, indefinitely. There are a number of reasons for this: the troll problem and the strange behavior of the people processing reports and appeals come to mind, but the new design was what finally drove me off.

@_centrists_ Convenience for the user must not have been a concern for Twitter. What used to be easy now requires workarounds that might break down at any time. Twitter doesn't seem to put any value on our time.

@_centrists_ I've got stuff to do, a lot of it (the important stuff) having nothing to do with the Internet. I'm putting Twitter and the rest of the social web on the back burner so I can focus on what matters. Not on doing my part to help feed some suit's ego.

@_centrists_ The "secret" blogs (the ones with the long alphanumeric chains for urls) might even be opened up for comment. I'll be going back to using Twitter for update notification, as I did in the past.

@_centrists_ I can spend a few minutes writing, each day and then, having done that, get up and go out. Live my life. Do you know why Support is so nice to the trolls and so lousy to the rest of us? Because they're afraid that we'll do just that - go out and live our lives.

@_centrists_ We retreat to a better position (places where comments are moderated) and let the trolls and the crazies tire themselves out. The best engagement for a sensible user on this platform is a passive one.
