You can’t build AI products like other products, for two reasons:
1. AI products are inherently non-deterministic
2. Every AI product must negotiate a tradeoff between agency and control
When companies don’t recognize these differences, their AI products face unexpected…
This is disappointing. Purposefully underselling what models can do is a really bad idea. It is possible to point out that AI is flawed without saying it can't do math or count - it just isn't true.
People need to be realistic about capabilities of models to make good decisions.

Thesis: In the next 1-3 years, the most important benchmarks will be real-world benchmarks.
For example, a “legal benchmark” that indicates how good and reliable a law model is in real life. A medical benchmark (I know these already exist) that indicates how accurately it can…
There’s a window right now where AI agents will get built for every vertical and domain.
The playbook is to go deep on the context engineering required for the vertical or particular space, figure out the right UX that ties into the existing workflows naturally, and connect to…
Too many in startup land still using a deterministic lens for a non-deterministic future
A lot of suboptimal investment decisions are going to be made because of it

AI reduces information asymmetry
The moment someone says that's not how the market operates or that's just not how it's done, ears should perk up
Was said about the bond market once
The trillion dollar opportunity in enterprise software is AI Agents. The reason for this is AI Agents expand many software categories because most tools have been constrained by the number of users on the other end of the tool.
Enterprise software traditionally enabled people…
With a combination of growing anti-AI sentiment and national security weight, there’s going to be a need for physical asset intelligence and security (ie data centers, energy assets) that’s on an entirely new level… and it’s an enormous business opportunity
There's a bunch of these new companies starting that are recording with eyewear or other wearables
People's first gut reaction is to scream privacy violation, but I think there's a significantly bigger threat that will result in a recording of a different type....

It’s crazy to think that a year ago the top AI model was GPT‑4o. Since then we made more progress than in the previous 3 years. In the next 6-9 months, we’ll make more progress than the past 4 years. This will keep advancing at an exponential rate for the foreseeable future!
I think any software company started from here on out will eventually have to become a fintech company
Traditional SaaS was about building one product, establishing that revenue model, then expanding to the next
Almost like a series of stairs until becoming a unicorn
Now, AI…
