As a long time survivor fan, tonight’s #SurvivorAU finale has cemented the greatest player of all time for me. History has corrected itself and watching a double win and a perfect* game played by this incredible winner feels unreal. 12 year old me is jumping with joy

#weapons was… alright. A slow burn that leads to a REALLY fun reveal and probably my favourite chase scene in a horror film. While the script and acting felt tight, it lacks rewatchability and personally didn’t have that much fun with it. But not terrible either. Rating: 7.5/10

#JurassicWorldRebirth was far superior than the horrendous Chr*s Pr*tt films. I came to see Luna Blaise and Jonathan Bailey and left with a regrowth of love for these movies. Great pacing with some great tension and suspense as well. Rating: 8/10

#FearStreetPromQueen was a complete dud. Faced with pacing issues, questionable acting, and an overall reliance on 80s music to establish the era, it missed the mark entirely. It FELT like watching someone try to recreate a lost feeling in film. Rating: 4/10

#FinalDestinationBloodlines was PHENOMENAL. Cinematography was next level for the series, characters were rootable and developed, and overall it was a fun edge-of-your-seat experience. Some weird beats in the third act but otherwise a great film. Rating: 9.5/10

#ClownInACornfield was quite fun. I expected it to be camp but it was very serious in nature with great writing and acting. Loved the subversion on the love story the most. I want to see the survivors again some day. Third act/epilogue felt weirdly edited, so overall: 8.5/10

#UntilDawn was ok. Starts off horribly with writing/acting before eventually finding itself (albeit the dumb Ground Hog Day meta). Fun nods to the game that tie it into the same universe. Never really follows its own logic but still a bit fun throughout. Rating: 5.5/10

#Drop was a fun, suspenseful movie from start to finish. Kept me on the edge of my seat on turning something that me and my friends do to strangers into a fun horror thriller. Random shout out for having the son be played by the “born in June?!” kid. Overall rating 9/10.

#HellOfASummer was probably the worst horror film I’ve seen this year. Poor writing, terrible acting, and all around a snooze. It had all the elements to be fun and camp yet failed. Rating: 4/10

#Youseason5 was a great viewing, probably second best season of the show. 9 solid episodes and one subpar finale but overall twist after twist that kept the viewing experience fun. Didn’t care for the new love interest, but all the cameos were fun. Overall rating: 8.5/10

#TheMonkey was filled with inventive kills that always delivered, and poorly written humor that was too awkward to witness how silent our semi-packed theater was at every intentional quip. First horror movie in a years I’d recommend skipping. Rating: 4/10

#companion was a pretty solid film. The marketing led me to believe it was more horror than sci-fi comedy, but overall it was fun and filled with more twists than the original premise inspires. Great acting by Jack Quaid and Sophie Thatcher (+co). Overall rating: 8/10
