For years, I've been helping people master:
- Containers
- Kubernetes
- Linux / Unix
- Networking
- Programming
Tens of blog posts, hundreds of diagrams, and a bunch of OSS projects united by the above goal.

I really enjoyed this post on learning from @hosseeb. True learning is usually unstructured. Here are his five principles for how to be a great learner...

8 short rules for being a productive creative:
1. Read. Read. Read.
2. Make commitments
3. Work with great people
4. Focus on effort, not results
5. Make a little progress each day
6. Don’t talk about projects until you’re finished
7. Journal
8. Remember: it’s all material
Agile does not fix poor leadership and management
Agile does not fix poor culture and mindest
Agile does not fix people's ego
Agile does not fix poor process workflow
Agile does not fix poor communication/collaboration

If you’re wondering why so many VCs are bullish on crypto/web3: @smdiehl summarized it much better than I could have:
Their investments are liquid thanks to the crypto being unregulated. No need to wait for an acquisition or an IPO.
Financial engineering >> software engineering
The purpose of testing is not to prove that the code is correct, but to prove that it's incorrect. It sounds like a subtle distinction, but this understanding completely changes the way you write tests.
Before a big decision, spend some time in silence with yourself.
On a run, cycling, or just sitting with a cup of coffee with out your phone or computer.
Putting that time aside seems odd, but it will give you far more clarity.
The "Don't Repeat Yourself" principle is usually discussed in the context of code reuse. This can be taken too far, and cause unnecessary coupling in codebases. But: I think it's a rule that KNOWLEDGE should not be duplicated in a system.
The whole #kubernetes projects (3 million lines of code) could be builtin within three minutes on a common consumer computer. It is incredible.
Complication duration is an important factor of development happiness.

Before I speak or comment on something that could be triggering/sensitive to me I like to pass my thoughts through these 3 gates:
1- Is this true?
2- is this necessary? or helpful?
3- is this coming across nicely?
