حضرت معاویہ بن ابی سفیان رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ آنحضرت ﷺ نے فرمایا: اللہ جس کے ساتھ خیر کا ارادہ کرتا ہے اسے دین کی سمجھ عطا فرما دیتا ہے اور میں تو صرف تقسیم کرنے والا ہوں اور دیتا اللہ ہے۔ (بخاری، ۷۳۱۲)

حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے ‘ انھوں نے فرمایا : کچھ دعائیں ایسی ہیں جنھیں رسول اللہ ﷺ کبھی نہیں چھوڑتے تھے ۔ آپ ﷺفرمایا کرتے تھے : ’’ اے اللہ ! میں فکر ‘ غم ‘ عجز ‘ سستی ‘ بخل ‘ بزدلی اور لوگوں کے غلبے سے تیری پناہ میں آتا ہوں ۔‘‘ (سنن نسائی،۵۴۵۱)

نبی ﷺ سے پیر کے روزے کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا، تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "میں اِسی دن میں پیدا ہوا، اور اِسی دن مجھ پر وحی (یعنی قرآن) کا نزول شروع ہوا." (نبی ﷺ کی سنت ہے کہ آپ اپنی ولادت اور نزول قرآن کے دن، یعنی پیر کے دن روزہ رکھا کرتے تھے). مسلم 2750 (مسلم 2747؛ ابوداؤد 2426)
