Wanna radically improve #mentalhealth? Give people housing. End poverty. Promote food security. Be anti-racist. Fund harm reduction. Offer workers paid sick days. Provide equitable healthcare (especially mental healthcare) to all...Equity IS mental health. 🙏🏽

Phenomenal thread on asking questions about sex, gender, and trans identities in surveys and other data collection. Also, it’d be cool if we treated this the same as other forms of progress related to methodology and just, you know, changed our practices.

Just saw an MD differentiate between opioids & Heroin, which is both untrue & stigmatizing. Heroin ~is~ a pain med. It’s diacetylmorphine, an acetylated form of morphine. The issue is that the government outlawed it 100 years ago and so now its potency is unknown to its users.

I been wanting to tweet this for a few days now... If EVERYONE needs therapy, then the problems EVERYONE is dealing with are systemic, cultural... too big to be confronted alone between two people. It's actually a grave injustice to make individuals responsible for this.
