i hate it when adults do the whole “it only gets worse from here!” thing. my life will be dream-like forever because i’ll make it. and my heart will never harden because i’ll do the work of keeping it soft. joy isn’t reserved to youth and you won’t convince me it is.

you asked God to make something beautiful out of your life. a garden isn’t beautiful until it’s seen some rainy days. until some weeds have been plucked out of it. so don’t be surprised by the rainy days or when things start disappearing. pain often leads to the most beauty.
