It's wild how fast Gemini models are getting better. I remember when I joined Google their internal coding model was trash(I missed claude), but in just six months, it's on edge if not better than others, especially with the deep thinking and agent stuff.

It's logically plausible. Imagine you got the chance to simulate human civilization in hopes of discovering something new, a new propulsion system instead of combustion, one thing to do is let them evolve in peace and see what happens. Could be in computers or better, real life?

"git reflog" is one of those cmds which is rarely used but when you need it, you will be glad it's there. I had ~16k lines staged code which by mistake ammended to previous "main" commit. It keeps history of all git cmds you ran sofar which allows you to timetravel. 1 line fix.

Expertise in Gen AI is similar to the boom in demand for Database Administrators in early 2000s. Anyone with sufficient knowledge is highly valued by employers. I feel proficiency in Gen AI will become an essential foundational skill in CS, just like DBAs now.

One thing I noticed some companies do badly during initial coding rounds in IC roles is mixing the agenda of an interview. In a DS-Algo problem, expectations should be to understand how the person articulate an efficient solution not if s/he follows language best practices.
