Witnessed a fellow advocate receive shade from his former boss, on the pretext that he used his office as a stepping stone to advance his career. When in reality I saw him work day and night to get to the place he is at present. Just made me think if the credit hogging is okay?

The problem with ‘middle-class values’ is that they teach you how to sacrifice, not how to rest. You feel guilty taking cabs. You feel scared spending on therapy. You say no to holidays but yes to toxic work. And somehow, that’s considered discipline.

This is extremely disheartening. The harassment North people go through in W.B., Southern states and states alike is deplorable. I have friends and family that have suffered this bias while attending college or working there.
