I discovered a coworker is 5 weeks pregnant and have already requested to hold her baby. I try to convince people to bring me their babies & then offer to wear their babes whilst I work. I haven’t found any takers yet. They don’t know how serious I am about this. 😂

A few months ago I visited a church and met a sweet girl who asked for prayer that she would find a job. On Friday, I brought her in for a job interview, today we offered her a job, and this makes me ridiculously happy.

Once upon a time, I played piano for a Black gospel choir. Then I stopped playing piano. It’s been about 30 years since I last played but I’m back to playing. I’m sure the neighbours hate it but it’s good for me & I’m enjoying it. Becoming who I once was, one step at a time.

Hey prayer warriors - my best friend called me at work sobbing. Her 16yo daughter is in surgery and is in trouble. She has a postoperative infection that is out of control & they have brought in infectious diseases while they look at slicing her open knee-to-hip. Prayers please.

I’ve seen a few posts where people are loving this pattern…which feels odd as my Mom collected many pieces of this which are now all boxed up in storage.

Sometimes (often) I like to opt for just blunt honesty. I went for a haircut last week and admitted to not remembering the last time I had it cut. She asked why I went so long in between cuts. I replied “Because I have the executive functioning skills of a rock”. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Update: situation was less serious than first thought so just a procedure rather than surgery and I can attend the funeral I was hoping to attend. I am thankful on a few levels.

Trusting God through a week of disappointments that now include missing a funeral that means a lot to me so I can instead have emergency surgery tomorrow (nothing life threatening - but might be off for a month). Curious what His plan is though.

I have 2 autistic children & may be on the spectrum myself. One of my kids might not live independently, the other will. We need different terms for things so those truly struggling are not dismissed b/c addressing very real issues seems “insulting” to those with fewer struggles.

My coworkers routinely tell me when they’re about to share their screens in meetings because they’re never sure exactly what I might message them about at any given time. Maybe it’s about work. Maybe it’s not. Only the Lord knows.
