NOAA #APT #composites from 2 pass. Using Satellite #TPERS projection from #SATDUMP
A crop of FY 3D afternoon pass with a nice sun reflection on a solar farm.
2024-04-29 1600 UTC - GOES-16 Day Cloud Convection RGB. This "heritage" composite has an old-timey feel to it, but it's kind of nice - and it's available in the latest #SatDump builds for both ABI and AHI!

Elektro L4, X-band fill/data using a windy bit of coil of roughly the correct size. I don't know what the required SNR is, but if I make the feed properly, is it within reach?
2024-04-29 18:50 UTC – Strong signal received from the 🇷🇺 6U CubeSat 🛰️ AVION KALUGA 650 on 435.615 kHz, in Mode U - DOKA 9600 bd. Unfortunately, the protocol is proprietary and cannot be decoded. Rx with @airspy_com R2 and UHF turnstile in Thessaloniki, 🇬🇷.

Meteor M 2 2 KMSS MSU100-1 and -2 west pass on 8320 Mhz. Signal was rather weak with my antenna (120cm)m but with a little GIMP I got this picture (Ch 331).

Test with X-band LNA from Down East Microwave. Pointed at Elektro L4 and I think this is it (fill data?). This is with 1.5m mesh dish (mesh hole ~4mm), @arvedviehweger downconverter (LO=6800 MHz) and a bit of coiled wire in a copper tube.

@gm8arv yes i bet it is david, but i must say at the latests Satdump NB's things have improved in the mean time..
@petermeteor There’s quite an art compressing 10-bit data (even 8-bit data) into images which retain scientific value whilst being attractive to non-expert viewers and capturing their interest. Been there, done that….
