So today my Spectrum phone decided that my subdomain from FreeDNS is no longer a subdomain...changed my phone to dns.google and it works fine...wtf @Ask_Spectrum its bad enough I can't change DNS settings in my router, now this?! @geerlingguy yup, it's always DNS...

Well I got myself an HP Z840 today with dual Xeon E5-2690 V3's and 128gb of ddr4 ecc...I'll stock it full of cheap shitty ssds and some other garbage and use it for my new home server!!! 🙂🙂🙂

So I had PLANNED to totally abandon all hope re:Red Hat but then today had a conversation and decided to spin up a VM to try out the latest @rocky_linux ...So glad that they do what they do, too bad they have had to deal with the unholy alliance that is RHEL/Big Blue

Making an Active Directory domain controller in a VM of Windows Server so that my fam could log into any of my laptops when they're over is the cheesiest thing I've ever done...today I mean, the cheesiest thing I've ever done today. Fuckin AWESOME tho!!!

So after a week busting my ass moving a whole bunch of peoples desktop setups whattya think I choose to spend my Saturday doin? Beach? Daiquiris? Vegas? Setting up a laptop with two scanners and setting up a laser printer and wifi...I'm actually having dreams of cables now.
