On the day of a mass shooting and weeks after news of Roe, Democratic Party leadership rallied for a pro-NRA, anti-choice incumbent under investigation in a close primary. Robocalls, fundraisers, all of it. Accountability isn’t partisan. This was an utter failure of leadership.

Hot take: "full stack developer" is a scam created by the tech industry to get one developer to do three jobs (front end, backend, devops) for the pay of one dev. Being a generalist is good. But.... have you tried doing all three of those things lately? It's... a lot.

One of the hardest things to teach in software engineering: it's literally all made up, functions are just GOTOs, the computer doesn't care what anything is called, almost all the "structure" in our code is only there to make something convenient for another human to comprehend

The suggestion that any job is “low skill” is a myth perpetuated by wealthy interests to justify inhumane working conditions, little/no healthcare, and low wages. Plus being a waitress has made me and many others *better* at our jobs than those who’ve never known that life.
