Recruiters are confused when I tell them that I am not interested in lead roles and pursue IC roles. I learned that I am most fulfilled being a senior developer. Also, career ladder circus is low priority to me. Problem space and people are priority. Looking for my Ikigai.

I've measured "engineering velocity" for a very long time, but I'm starting to focus more on "engineering drag". These are the things that slow down engineering teams. This includes product discovery, local dev environments, CI/CD pipelines, etc. Reduce drag to go faster.
