Congrats to Yr 9 pupils Simran, Alexandra, Hanna, Cara (& Aurelia who wasn’t able to make the final) who came 3rd in @STEMLearningUK CyberCenturion Competition. 450 schools competed, with Highgate the only all-girls team to be placed across the Junior & Senior competitions. 👏

Pupils from Highgate recently enjoyed Dr Szydlo’s traditional Meteorological Trip to the New Forest. The highlight was finding a specimen of the evil-looking, foul-smelling Devil’s Fingers which is an invasive species of mushroom originally from Australia & rarely seen in the UK

4 is definitely a risk. It's partly about staff career progression. The incentives are to take a new initiative and self diagnose it as a tremendous success. Hard evidence of effectiveness is uncertain and heavily lagged.

I was hopeful about talk from the TBI about education for a digital age. However, I have to agree with Daisy that much of the report seems to dwell on ideas that are old fashioned or repudiated.
