A relative had been insisting for years that his ancestral properly had multiplied many X more than equities. When he sold it, there was no capital gains tax… because the gains didn’t beat inflation over the years. We overestimate property returns because we don’t get NAVs!

Less than 1% investors used to invest in equity in 1990s. Now this ratio is around 4-5%. Think of two decades down the line when 20, 30 or 40% will invest in equity with higher income. I am a investor since 3 decades and will remain so to experience this beautiful journey.

In Hyderabad book launch program in 2007 I did not say a word about Islam or prophet but the goons who physically attacked me claimed I criticized the prophet. They lied. Fanatics often use prophet and 'sentiments are hurt' thingy for political purpose.
