Had a really great playtest last week, and got to meet some cool people @triiarts Overall players found the core systems to be good/interesting, but sometimes clunky/opaque, which is promising! So trying to figure out what direction to take next based on all that feedback 🤔
Playtest is tomorrow, so sprinting today 👀
Doing an in-person playtest at the end of this week with a new version of the demo Should be pretty interesting, but also kind of nervous 👀 Will be testing out new lighting/texturing, melee combat, and verticality within the levels! 🪜 Held at @triiarts 🙏🎉

I didn't realize I was programming people's dopamine systems via reward structures in a virtual space that are ultimately artistically-interpreted by my eye (ie. the idyllic morality of what kinds of thoughts/behaviors/actions should be rewarded) But no, I'm "just making a game"

Continuing work on a melee system this week! The actual design of a small blade on the top of your hand, and being able to swipe/stab at enemies, helps solve a lot of the frustrations people have had with melee weapons in VR I think (weight/physics/feel) Having fun with it 😃
