A few countries made some nuances in regards to the need to build on the progress made in the context of the OECD's Inclusive Framework.

This past weekend was the 30th anniversary of the official end of South Africa's brutal apartheid system. Our 2023 report, "The Racial Wealth Gap in South Africa and the United States," offers insights into the lasting effects of this system, in comparison with the U.S.
Report authors @gchelwa, Mashekwa Maboshe and @DarrickHamilton found that in South Africa the typical Black household owns 5% of the wealth held by a typical white household. In the United States that number is 6%.

I find most disconcerting that apparently the @eu_eeas has been attempting to be even more obstructive in its diplomatic interventions at #FFD than fellow Western countries over at the G7 have been. At least, the G7 have recently noted the #UNTaxConvention in their communiqué.

This past weekend was the 30th anniversary of the official end of South Africa's brutal apartheid system. Our 2023 report, "The Racial Wealth Gap in South Africa and the United States," offers insights into the lasting effects of this system, in comparison with the U.S.
Report authors @gchelwa, Mashekwa Maboshe and @DarrickHamilton found that in South Africa the typical Black household owns 5% of the wealth held by a typical white household. In the United States that number is 6%.

We also need better data. There have only been two releases of the Scottish GNI data critical for this report - the first in 2019, the second in 2023. These releases must be improved and brought on par with regular GDP releases - preferably releasing both simultaneously.
My call to the Scottish Government is to reassess economic development and investment to better encourage domestic ownership and anchoring of Scottish businesses to prevent them from being bought out.
