First week of placement and I conducted a get to know me activity earlier on in the week!! students had clue strips and hidden puzzle pieces around the room. In groups they had to work out their clue and complete the puzzle to find out information about me !

I used this idea on my previous prac - have names of the students in the class on paddle-pop sticks and use this to ask questions/encourage discussion 😊 #acuedu_p

I've never seen something like this before, but I really like the idea as it encourages not only positive behaviour but also collaboration! #acuedu_p

Teaching a lesson on angles? Try washi tape! Washi tape is very versatile and can be used on a range of surfaces without causing damage. The more lines of tape placed down, the more angles your students with find. ✏️ #ACUedu_p

I love this idea for personalised learning goals! Each student wears a lanyard during literacy and numeracy lessons. It’s great for teachers to keep up with where students need to be. I can’t wait to use this. #acuedu_p

During EDFD 452, I have been immersed in the online community of education and teaching. This has provided me with ideas, and strategies to add to my teaching toolkit. #acuedu_p

Blends and digraphs! This recycled connect 4 game was a great way for my year 1 students to practice their digraphs and blends. Students build words using the counters and write them in their literacy books. The kids love it and it’s a great literacy rotation activity✏️ #ACUedu_p
