Almstead arborist, Fred Hoffmann met with a small group of botany students to discuss the application of arboriculture to preserve trees and help them to grow in our environment. They also collected pin oak acorns for a propagation project they are working on.
As Halloween approaches, let's delve into one of nature's eeriest specimens: the Dead Man’s Finger. This dark, finger-like mushroom often sprouts near tree bases or on decaying wood, eerily mirroring the fingers of a corpse emerging from the earth. #Halloween #DeadMansFinger
